Lift Them Up
Stop telling me a positive
Is negative
Because people don't want to hear it
People shouldn't have to fear
It all gets worse
When you stoke that fire
We just need hope because
So little is out there
How could anyone dare
Share that poison
People need a laugh
Maybe it's not your job
You just share the reported stories
Not the happiness and the glories
To that I must say "Sorry,
That's not how we do things here!"
Lift them up

It's the beginning of a bright, new day

I'll do my best

Will find a smile
Instead of getting riled
By the darkest thoughts
Everyone thinks they want
