The Dark Cape's Tree

The Dark Cape's Tree

Lightning crashes over the dark cape
Leading to a boulders fat
That tumbles down the mountain
Did the lightning make it fall
Or was it not secure at all
It rolled down the hill like a playful ball
And there may have been no stopping it
But the boulder
Bulldozed
Also a tree
Taking away
A small beauty
Removing the capes claim to fame
Not that it was noticed
Yet had it been
The tree would be
A fame claim
All the world would see
A bright-like hope
With the shape of a tree
Yet the tree did flee
With the boulder bulldozer
So nobody will know the dark cape's secret
No harm, no foul
And the bareness there now
Doesn't mean much to anybody
