To Watch You
Where are you
I dreamed I dreamed about you
But you're not here
Which I noticed with my notice balls
Some call them eyes
Now I'm feeling very small
As that wasn't the plan
To watch you
Shoot into the sunset
Into a sea of swirling stars
Leaving lots of scars
On my heart
And my head
Saying words to me
Like "you're dead"
Or "white bread"
They sound so the same
I always get them confused
They line up in rows of twos
Then I'm looking for my shoes again
There is no knowing
Like boat rowing
But you've got to keep going
'Cause now you're glowing
And the world deserves to see you
I always thought I'd be there too
Yet here I am
